Demarcation without Dogmas

This paper reviews how research on the demarcation problem has developed, starting from Popper's criterion of falsifiability and ending with recent naturalistically oriented approaches. The main differences between traditional contemporary approaches to are explicated in terms six postulates called assumptions. It is argued that all assumptions can be dismissed without giving up doing so might benefit further discussions pseudoscience. Four present-day movements evaluating boundaries science introduced: (1) philosophy pseudoscience, (2) social epistemology dissent, (3) agnotology, (4) evaluation expertise.
